Micol Fornaroli
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Micol Fornaroli is an Operating Partner at FSI, covering the Life Sciences sector. With over 20 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medical products, and healthcare services, she has held different executive roles working with private equity funds, big multinational and family-owned companies.
With EQT, as an Industrial Advisor and NED she recently covered Schulke&Mayr, a leading biocides player pioneering the prevention of nosocomial infections. With Italmobiliare, she served as NED at Casa della Salute, a rapidly growing network of outpatient services in Italy.
She has been a Partner at Investindustrial, where she oversaw the fund’s healthcare portfolio and supported the development of Procemsa Group, a European Pharma CDMO. During her tenure, she served as Group Chief Executive Officer at MTD (Medical Technology and Devices S.A.) since its inception. With 4 production sites in Europe and a global commercial presence, MTD is a leading med-tech group, focused on diabetes injection devices, safety sharps, electro-medicals, and wound care products.
Previously, she served as Chief Strategy Officer at Bracco Group, a leading global player in the diagnostic imaging space. In addition to her CSO role, she managed the Group presence in China, Japan, South Korea and LATAM. During her tenure at Bracco Group, she also served at the Board of Centro Diagnostico Italiano.
Prior to this, she served as General Secretary and VP of Organization and Management for Sanofi Global R&D, coordinating the global network of R&D centers and the R&D Group functions.
Until 2010, she was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she led the Pharma and Medical Products practices for the MedComplex.
Currently, she is a Senior Advisor to the McKinsey Global Life Science Practice, a Non-Executive Director at Alliance Medical Group (European network of imaging and nuclear medicine centers) and a mentor for A-Road, an acceleration program dedicated to life science scale-ups.
EDUCATION
She holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University and an Executive Master in Finance from INSEAD.
